What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimisation, or SEO as it is most commonly known, is one of the best ways to increase the number of visitors to a website. When someone types a search query into Google, you will be offered thousands of results – so ensuring your website comes up on page 1 is vital if you plan to use your website to grow your business.

The aim of any SEO campaign is to gain visibility for a keyword or keyword phrase in the organic (natural) search results. The keywords and phrases you rank for should be specific to the products or services your business offers. As your business ranks for more keywords, you will naturally increase the number of visitors to your site, and generally, the number of enquires or direct sales it generates will increase as a result.

At Juna Digital, we manage our SEO campaigns from our head office in Sarisbury Green, Hampshire. We are currently running successful campaigns for businesses across the UK in industries ranging from Property, fashion and insurance to manufacturing and telecoms.

The Difference Between SEO & PPC

Organic search engine results are determined by a search engines algorithms. To rise above the competition, you need a robust website, helpful content and inbound links from authority sites in your niche.

PCC stands for Pay Per Click. Paid advertisements sit alongside organic search results, but they are bought, rather than earned.

There has been a debate for as long as the internet has existed as to which will deliver the best results. At Juna Digital, we take a holistic approach – SEO and PPC work best when combined. For one, there is more data to analyse – meaning quicker results all round.

How SEO Works (In a Nutshell)

To get to the top of a search engines organic results, you must prove to a search engine you know what you’re doing.

When someone types a question into Google, for example, they want to deliver their users the most relevant results. If the results they threw up had nothing to do with the search query, you’d start to look elsewhere for answers.

Each day, Google (and other search engines), send out bots to crawl / index your site. They analyse hundreds of different factors to establish the authority of your site and its relevance to a specific search term. To put it simply, the more boxes your website ticks, the higher-up the search engine results pages (otherwise known as SERPs) your site will rank.

Our Approach to SEO

At Juna Digital, we have developed a tried and tested process for SEO success.

1. Website Audit

Our first step is to carry out an in-depth technical audit of your current website and assess any previous SEO work that’s been carried out. We do this to determine what is currently doing well and what we need to improve upon.

2. Technical Audit

We will check all pages of a website can be indexed and check for any previous penalties. For your website to rank in the natural search results, search engines must be able to find it. They do this by crawling the web and looking for relevant content, as well as on-page factors such as alt tags for images, title tags, and headers. We will optimise these on-page factors to improve your overall rankings.

3. Competitive Analysis

Once we have audited your website, we will run a competitive analysis to compare your content and other SEO factors against those of your competitors. With the data we gather, we will form a plan that we can implement on your website to improve your rankings and drive more visitors to your site. Improving on your competitor’s current content and SEO efforts is a great way of outranking them.

4. Content Strategy

We will review your blog and content marketing efforts. Creating blog posts, interlinking them, and then linking them to the main service page that you are trying to rank is an excellent way to become an authority website in multiple niches. There is no requirement to rank the supporting blog posts but they should contain content relevant to the main category.

5. Link Building Campaign

We will assess all current links coming in and check all of them are benefitting the website. Links from low-quality sites will have a negative impact on your own sites performance – so this is extremely important. We will begin a safe white-hat manual link building campaign and focus on niche relevant links from high-authority websites relevant to your business.

6. Monthly Reporting

We will provide monthly reporting of keyword rankings and website traffic levels to document our progress.

The Types of SEO Campaigns We Offer

We will assess the type of SEO campaign required on a case by case basis. We separate them into two groups: local and national.

Local SEO

A local campaign is perfect for, (you guessed it), local businesses. By that, we mean any business that is restricted geographically in terms of the services it provides. Examples of business that would benefit from a local SEO campaign include: Gyms, Independent Restaurants, Independent Bars and Local Construction Companies.

Ranking for a keyword or phrase is usually easier in a specific location (outside of London and major cities) as there is less competition online.

National SEO

National campaigns therefore, are perfectly suited to businesses that want to target customers across the UK and overseas. The types of businesses that would benefit from a national SEO campaign include: Recruitment Agencies, Web Design Agencies, Telecoms Providers and E-Commerce Businesses.
